According to major goals of Iran’s 6th Five Year Development Plan (2016-2021), the annual average growth rate was set at 8%. As per this plan, mines and mining industries sector should grow 12% annually and the following measures should be mainly taken into consideration for comprehensive development of these sectors which would definitely play a pivotal role for achieving the targeted goals of our development plan, re-flourishing of Iran’s national economy and diversifying from its oil and gas sectors:
• Investment development and presenting the macro projects for attracting international financing
• Completion of necessary infrastructures and improving the technical know-how in mineral exploration and mining industries such as preparing the basic geological maps for identification and exploration of all mining capacities and potentials throughout Iran’s territory.
• Enhancing the productivity and efficiency in these sectors

• Completion the supply chain in mines & mining industries and improvement of business environment
• Strengthening the contribution of private sector, international companies and financers
• Encouraging the exports of mines and mining industries’ high value added products
Iran enjoys several significant potentials and advantages at national level, which would enable our country to achieve a high annual growth rate consisting abundant & untapped mineral and energy recourses, a relatively untouched market of 80 million population, access to international water ways, a developed infrastructure of roads, railways, ports, power supply and telecommunication network, together with foreign investment friendly laws and regulations; all of which make Iran a particularly attractive country for international investors and financers.
