The telecommunications sector within the Middle East and Central Asian region’s are experiencing monumental change, as governments continue to be convinced that opening their doors to private operators can, in fact, produce even more revenue, as well as allowing them to benefit from the technology and expertise made available by their foreign partners. Subsequently significant moves are being made towards private sector participation, by continuing to invest in the upgrading of services in fixed and mobile lines, internet and payphone provision.
